Ufamebel, Perrino and TriYa were exhibited at the Meble Polska fair that was held in Poznan in early March. Participation in the Polish furniture show was a debut for all three companies.

At the Meble Polska Ufamebel displayed the Zzibo brand, which represented products from solid wood. Perrino exhibited a line of springless mattresses and box-spring beds. TriYa confined themselves to two budget-friendly programs – the living room and nursery.

The main motive that prompted Russian companies to try their hand on the foreign market is Russian products export prospects based on the devaluation of the rouble.

"Last year we did a good job in the direction of import substitution, and that gave me the idea about the possibility of entering the Western market,” — says Zzibo owner Viktor Kochubey. “Our product is unusual for Europe, but exhibition shows that it has its own niche. We counted on buyers from the Baltic states, Romania and Bulgaria. Poland and England also became interested in us. Actually, we collected a decent amount of contacts and sold all the models.”

Alexander Kuzmin, the Director General of Perrino, is also pleased with the fair and the number of new contacts. In the near future the company plans to open a store in Warsaw.

Managers of TriYa are cautiously optimistic. The Volgodonsk plant is ready for a long game, it has even established the TriYa Export Trading House for the development of the external relations.

All Russian exhibitors of Meble Polska expressed their readiness to continue the export experiment and willingness to participate in the Poznan fair next year.
