On September 14, on the Passazhirskaya quay in Cherepovets, M.V. Peter the Great took 57 representatives of 15 CPFP dealerships on board. Organizers of the two-day conference promised their guests a lot of surprises. The news about the purchase of the third lamination line became the hot topic. The installation of the equipment at the plant is planned to begin early next year, and by the end of the year it will be put into operation.

According to Ilya Korotkov, Deputy Director for Economic Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations, the launch of the most modern German line will increase the share of the laminated boards in the total production on average by 15%. It will also enable the production of new types of the embossed in register laminated chipboard, and that will allow the plant to produce decorations, most realistically imitating natural wood.

The second surprise was the news about the launch of a new laminated chipboard brand onto the market. The brand was presented during the quest. After passing two-hour trials, the participants successfully coped with the task and guessed the word: NORDECO. That's how a laminated board produced by the Cherepovets plywood and furniture plant will be called a year later.

The attendees were pleased with the progress made during the past period. For incomplete 9 months, CPFP increased the volume of chipboard production by 15%, plywood by 7% and lumber by 5% in comparison with the same period in 2015.

“Actually, in the Soviet Union a director could have been given the “Hero of Socialist Labor” medal for such an upgrowth,” – joked Yevgeny Korotkov, the Director General of the CPFP, referring to partner dealers.

According to Valery Perkhin, Deputy sales director, Head of the plant's sales department, the enterprise produces today seven formats of the boards 1830 mm wide. Just recently, in September, a chipboard having dimensions of 4200 x 1830 mm was produced. In June 2016, CPFP was certified and started production of laminated boards labeled with emission class E 0.5.
