Fabric comes first!
Ametist company, Russian producer and supplier of components for furniture industry, has summedup the results of DESIGN OF TEX contest, with participation of students of Moscow StateStroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts.

Future fabric design professionals were offered to develop textile patterns using certain motives and taking into account the current situation on the Russian market. The contest included 6 topics/nominations: Classic Design, Floral Design, Oriental, Just Design, as well as Future is Coming and Creative.
Two 3rd year students of the Masters program — Anastasia Kelnicina (Classic Design) and Ivan Nefedov (Future is Coming) as well as four 1st year students — Evgeniya Yarygina (Floral Design), Anastasia Galkina (Oriental), Varvara Yakushkina (Just Design) and Irina Abdullina (Creative) were the winners of the contest.
As they say in Ametist, the general level of works, submitted for the competition, was very high. The company thinks that the projects, which were recognized as the best after two contest stages, might become basis for industrial fabric series under the Ametist brand.
